Another Case Thrown Out Under Stand Your Ground

A Florida appellate court has overturned a trial court order allowing a case to go forward, ruling that the Stand Your Ground Law’s immunity provision applies. The Third District found that Gabriel Mobley should be immune from prosecution based on the facts presented in the case. The article linked above, from the News Service of Florida, suggests the case could renew debate on the Stand Your Ground law. Which is true, but debate on the law hasn’t really abated, and the court have repeatedly issued decisions regarding the law. Crimcourts will continue to follow developments.
