Ryan Costello spent most of today on the stand as he defends charges that he murdered his infant child. He testified at the end of last week that his girlfriend, Whitney Simonsen, threw something at him, causing the child’s injuries. Today he had to undergo cross-examination regarding the inconsistencies in his version of events. NBC indicates that closing arguments are expected tomorrow, which means the jury may even start deliberations. If so, there could be a verdict as soon as tomorrow evening, though it could take days depending on the jury.
