One response to “CNN’s 5 Things About the Trayvon Martin, AKA George Zimmerman Case

  1. How is it that no one has brought up the fact that, here is an unmarked car following Mr martin around at night followed by the fact that a plain clothes individual (Mr Zimmerman)coming out to further look for him and upon interaction no attempt is made to identify himself and/or his capacity as a neighbourhood watchman. This could have been, in Mr Martin opinion, be a kidnapper, a racist, a skin head looking for trouble etc. Mr Martin could at the time Mr Zimmerman had looked down to “reach for his phone” assumed that he was reaching for a weapon so instead of waiting he acting out by striking Mr Zimmerman. The fact that the gun or its holster may have been visible to Mr Martin could have contributed to his panic and hence his reaction to Mr Zimmerman’s comment. Why didn’t Mr Zimmerman attempt to calmly defuse the situation by explaining what he was doing, similar to what regular police officers would have done.
